MONSTERS.

Significant things to update on.
1.) There are new images up in the tattoo, sketchbook and photoshoots galleries for you to peep. Enjoy!
2.) I am no longer tattooing out of Hartless Tattoo. Any tattoo related inquiries can be submitted here or to my email address (noble.ink@gmail.com).
3.) Finally opened up a Twitter account (intergalactic mega-net bullhorn, say what?!) and am in the process of linking it to my facebook account and this site. It will probably take me more than a focused hour to try and do something like that, and it’s just not really a priority at the moment, but I will definitely drop the address once it’s up and running proper.
Here’s Carlo’s Scorpio and ambigram tattoo that says “family forever.” Just to prove how small of a world it really is out there, one of my homegirls, Melly is the graffiti genius behind this dope design. Oh, and speaking of monsters, Carlo is a pinoy originally born in Italy, but definitely spent some time in the Philippines growing up. He assures me that through his experiences when he was growing up, many of the folklore monsters we heard about growing up, like the aswang, are true. Even if he was just telling a tall tale, which I’m convinced he wasn’t by his expressions while telling the story, I still got mad goosebumps.

This one’s for one of my favorite people.

POW, RIGHT IN THE KISSA’!

The new year has been bringing much goodness. The perfect balance of working hard, and playing hard.
Here’s a dope snap via the trusty iphone from midway down a run at Big Ol’ Bluey. It was really nice to get out there and shred some powder, even thought I only lasted a couple hours. For a tropical-fiending Canuck like me, snowboarding is one of the only reasons I look forward to enduring another long, relentless and frigid Canadian winter. Can I get a “hellyeah?”

When I’m not avoiding the cold, I’ve been hard at work, spending quality time with my bestfriend: Mista drawing board. Seems like we’re always being reunited, no matter what. What can I say, he’s a reliable, loyal and comforting dude, and that ain’t bad.

There are also a few new images for you to check out in the sketchbook and tattoo galleries. Go peep em!

Peep the new guns and roses piece Erin added to her collection without a single flinch. It’s a tribute piece for one of her “fallen” homegirls. Stay tuned for her final sit to see the piece completed.

KEEP YOUR GUARD UP.

Time escapes me yet again. Since we last spoke, I stored my bike for her winter slumber, acquired my PAL, bought my first car (more on that in a future post), TURNED TWENNYSIX, did up some dope tattoos and have been diligently working to up my side of the game.
I even received mighty shout outs from Mr. Jaylen and Breakthatbread! Because these two are so dopesauce, their sessions felt less like work, and more like coolin’ with old friends. Nothing like changing it up with good times to really revive the soul, right? I’ll be posting up their tattoos in the gallery once I get it off the shop cam.
Because the workload is never over, I’m going to throw some sketches your way and hope that you don’t mind too much, for now I bid you adieu.

DUE DILIGENCE.

Here’s a couple line drawings for two special clients tomorrow!
Iye is getting a lettering piece on her forearm to commemorate her commitment to sobriety. I’m totally stoked on this one cause Erykah Badu is phenomenal and Window Seat is her first single from her New Amerykah pt. 2: Return of the Ankh ep. Click the link so you can get to knowin.

Lacarry is getting a forearm piece of a Jamaican Doctor Bird, or streamertail. Although the doc has got some superb color ways, we’re going to rock this one in black and grey. After these two ladies are finished, I get to go at it with that TMNT Raphael piece in the entry below. Should prove to be a great day.

And just as a lil apertif, I think you’ll be seeing a more formal version of this soon..

This drawing is for homie Jay from back in the day. I can’t even tell you how many ninja turtles I’ve drawn in my lifetime, so this one was a real fun drawing to do. TMNT, ftw!

Painting is finished and delivered to Seven Crowns. Hardwork pays off, and I feel great knowing that I’m contributing to a very worthy cause. See you on OCTOBER SEVENTEENTH!
