This is what happens when you don’t do your homework and/or get tattooed by people who claim to be tattooers but infact actually lack artistic creativity, personal integrity and professionalism. Someone’s (mine, in this case) tattoo gets ripped off, poorly executed (technically), and the receiver has to live with it. As a result, people get embarrassed and pissed, it’s an ugly fucking mess. So lets try and avoid that from now on, okay kiddies?

Big thanks to Tyler Charles for this ORIGINAL & CUSTOM tattoo he did on me in 2008 during a guest spot at Imperial Tattoo. People constantly compliment this piece and it is still definitely one of my favourites. It’s a shame some people would try to take that away from me.

While other people keep doing the bullshit and trying to straight up violate tattooing, who don’t know what it’s really about or care enough to search for it, me and my crew will keep on walking through the darkness carrying our torches to bring you all the realness.

I’m leaving on a jet plane… Just wanted to make an official announcement – I’ll be overseas, 13,228km away in the Philippines (&HK) taking care of some family biz and chasing some R&R from the end of May til late June. This means if you’ve got something you wanna make sure is finished for the summer months, holla at me. If you want in on my itinerary in the coming weeks, then you’d better get at me, as spots are diminishing in front of my very eyes.

You may or may not have remembered me ever mentioning something about my friend Marc and his bamboo longboard company, Booboardz awhile back. Since Booboardz are grown and handmade in the Philippines, he asked me to do more of a Polynesian tribal twist to their logo.

BooBoardz is founded upon using quality bamboo and the decks themselves are “an innovative new product specifically designed For skateboard builders seeking a more environmentally friendly skating option with a sustainable solution.” Definitely sounds like something I could glide with.

Peep the video below from Marc’s brother Rob who’s posted up in Cebu and loving life. The longboarders over there began a movement on Earthday, linking their arms together and keeping the highway traffic at bay. Pretty incredible what a few kids can do.
