FREEDOM FLOWER.

Here’s a flower tattoo I did on my client, Jessica. Her tattoo is of the Gloriosa.

My brother finally hooked me up with some new music to paint, tattoo, and draw to: Drake, thank me later and so far gone; The Black Keys, rothers; the Broken Bells self titled album and MGMT, Oracular Spectacular. I am aware that some of these albums have been out for some time now, however I don’t listen to the radio, watch tv nor actively invest time in searching for new chunes. So thats a cue towards suggestions being encouraged.

Check out these lil face tats I got to slew on Friday afternoon. This guy wants to be a tattooer, and enrolled into artschool before reaching through TC to commemorate the occasion in ink. The Chola and “R” are done by yours truly.

Check out this piece a client from Tattoo Culture got before I peaced out to Sunny Florida. We completed this outer half-sleeve cover-up in two six hours sessions on consecutive days. We spent most of the time listening to old classic rock and him telling me outrageous stories about how amazing Vancity was back in the 70s.

I’ll be doin my thang at Tattoo Culture on Friday’s and Saturdays.
ARCHIVES: REMIXES

Couple remix projects from the archives. First is one of my most loyal clients, Roberto. He wanted to incorporate an old Ferrari symbol (his last name is Ferrari) into a black and grey sleeve. Currently we are working on full coverage top torso coverage from one halfsleeve to the next! Keep peeped to see the progress of this tattoo champ!

Next, we’ve got Jus a buddy of mine that I met from Jacks. Jus had this old symbol for his last name, Lee, tattooed on him awhile back and wanted to expand it with some buddhist imagery. We’ve got more work to do on this one as well.

Last but not least, I’ve got one of my homegirls, Kristina. She got this tiny little black butterfly along time ago, and felt the urge to change it, as who she was back then is not who she is anymore. She opted for a very simple but bigger and more elaborate butterfly design with some lettering.

That’s it for updates today, I’m off to the rental place to grab a whip for Syracuse! Be well, people!

So, homie Andy, aka. Tuff came through to finish off his shoulder piece. The saying is significant to him because it encompasses his insatiable and positive outlook on life. This is his first tattoo, and he sat through it like a champ.

Check out this piece I finally got to finish today:

Tonight, I had the pleasure of watching Ivie and Derek‘s band 9 yrs at the Silver Dollar. These guys put on a great show, and have now whet my appetite for their first album that will be coming out soon!
While watching their band play an energetic eight song set, I became reminiscent of the time when I was just entering highschool and joined a couple bands. I need to find some pics I used to have of when we’d play at the Kathedral for Supernova shows. My band used to cover songs like Metallica’s Orion, Black Sabbath’s Paranoid, Tool’s Sober, and a few NIN tracks too. And then it became more about partying like a rockstar, and less about making music. I really miss playing guitar. I still wake up in the morning singing. I’ve also got a set of turntables collecting dust in my laundry room. Something needs to happen with these things.
The purple Reverb building at Queen St. West and Bathurst is now being demolished to put in some more shoebox stacks, also known as condo’s, which is a strange thing to realize. Alot can happen in ten years. Just another reminder to really make the most out of the next ten!

Trip on this lil custom ting I did into the early hours of last Sunday. Does this face look a lil familiar? That’s cause it’s the face you see on your papes, zags, or rollies. This is on my friend Inked Kenny. You can also see the lettering of his brand that he had me tattoo across his shoulders awhile back. This guy’s got some work on him done by The Dutchman out west, that could be almost as old as I am! I love old tattoos!

I’ve been keeping busy with workworkwork, so expect more updates and some dope shit to check out. Til then.
